Hind Mashrah is from Saudi Arabia, and she is currently a PhD student at The University of Southampton. She obtained her BA in English Language from Taif University, Saudi Arabia and her MA in Applied Linguistics, speciality in TESL from Brock University, Ontario, Canada. She is also an ESP, EAP and EMI lecturer and a course coordinator at Taif University, Saudi Arabia from the English Language Centre. Besides, she worked previously at British Council and Direct English. Her thesis is about exploring the roles of English and other languages in language policies and practices in EME programmes at a Saudi university setting. She is interested in multilingualism and ELF/A (English as a lingua franca in academic settings) in HEIs as well as language policies, ideologies and practices.
