Heath Rose is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics, who specialises in language teaching research. He is the course leader for the MSc/PGDip in Teaching English Language in University Settings and the MSc/PGDip in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching (commencing in 2018).

What I'm Working On


In terms of EMI research, Heath is currently leading an ongoing project exploring factors surrounding success in EMI. He is also supervising four doctoral students who are researching various facets of EMI in China, Japan and Turkey. In terms of Global Englishes research, Heath is finishing off a co-authored book on Teaching English as an International Language.

In addition to these projects, he is working on editing the Routledge Handbook of Research Methods in Applied Linguistics with Jim McKinley, as well as editing a new series for Cambridge University Press calledLanguage Teaching.
